Marc Niemann records works by Hans Schaeuble with Sinfonietta Riga
In October, Marc Niemann will record works by Swiss composer Hans Schaeuble together with pianist Oliver Triendl and the Sinfonietta Riga for the label Solo Musica. After studies in Leipzig, Schaeuble (1906 - 1988) was a prominent representative of classical modernism in the pre-war period, drawing attention to himself with an extensive body of work. Vilified as pro-Nazi in his home country due to his residence in Germany until 1942, his works were rarely performed after the end of the war. This recording brings together three works: the String Serenade op. 42, which has never been recorded before, the Concertino for Oboe and Orchestra op.44 and the Piano Concerto op. 50.
