New release of the Ninth Symphony completes the Beethoven cycle

After seven years, the much-acclaimed Bremerhaven Beethoven cycle has been completed with the recording of the Ninth Symphony. In June 2022, the live recording was made by sound engineer Martin Rust during a symphony concert of the Philharmonic Orchestra Bremerhaven conducted by Marc Niemann at the Bremerhaven Theatre. The realisation of this large-scale project was made possible by a crowdfunding campaign in which many music lovers from Bremerhaven participated. Thus, in addition to the opera choir of the Bremerhaven Theatre, the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno could be engaged. The soloist quartet included soprano Signe Heiberg, mezzo-soprano Patrizia Häusermann, tenor Tilmann Unger and bass-baritone Heiko Trinsinger.
